We contacted the Chairman of many Art Associations on the Garden Route and Little Karoo inviting them to pledge 10 of their best paintings for a bumper exhibition. The idea being that we could showcase the art of the Garden Route and the Little Karoo whilst the personnel of the Department of Culture, Arts & Sport are in George to relaunch the George Museum and its Art Gallery. We can show them that we are a really dedicated group of artists and making the right waves to get our district known as a cultural centre. It has been good for George to have sport as its hook into the tourism market but with arts & culture as another drawcard our area can only doubly benefit.

We are designing a teaser adv campaign using a series of on-line posters to build up enthusiasm of the organisers of the many hamlets/villages/towns who taking part. We are happy to report back to you that we already have positive pledges of support from many Art Societies up and down our coastline …
